| This Chinese hackberry tree was found in a private home in Kokutaiji-cho,
south of Atago Pond. The exact location is unknown. We speculate that the above-ground parts were lost due to the atomic bomb, and only shoots grew. It has been transplanted to Senda Elementary School, where it will no doubt grow big. |

| New leaves are unfolding and it looks beautiful. The trunk on the south side seems to be developing a little slower. The flowers have finished blooming, and fruit is beginning to form. |
