A-bombed Tree

Weeping Willow
(On the west bank of the Kyobashi River near Kamiyanagi-bashi Bridge )
  12 Hashimoto-cho, Naka-ku, Hiroshima

  (2011.4.2)
It has a tree-like shape that protrudes toward the river at a nearly horizontal angle and is curved above the river.
It's a beautiful season of fresh greenery and flowers.

(2011.12.3)
I visited to see the autumn leaves. The leaves are yellow,
but the autumn leaves of the weeping willow are not so bright.
The autumn leaves of the cherry blossoms seen in the back are more vivid.

  (2012.11.23)

I visited to see the autumn leaves.
The leaves would have been brighter if it was not cloudy.

(2013.3.31)
I visited to see the fresh greenery and flowers.
Due to cloudy weather, the original shine could not be expressed in the photograph,
but in reality it is a more refreshing shade.

(2018.5.4)
I came to see the fresh green. Unlike the flower season, the leaves are darker green.

(2022.12.11)
I visited to shoot the autumn leaves of the weeping willow.
shining in the sunlight.
Outcrop grows and balances the whole tree.

(2023.3.25)
IYellow-green flowers and new leaves.
It is not as gorgeous as cherry blossoms, but it is a beautiful riverside scenery in spring in Japan.

(2023.6.4)

(2023.12.10)
I visited during the season of yellow leaves.
The branches that hang down to the river have already shed their leaves,
but many of the leaves that still remain on the branches have changed from green to yellow.

 <How to visit>

Please check the map on the left.

If you exit Hiroshima Station to the south, cross the bridge, turn right, cross the next bridge, turn left, and walk along the river. A little further on, you can find a tree with a trunk protruding into the river.
