A-bombed Tree

Weeping Willow
(Hanover Garden)
5 Motomachi, Naka-ku, Hiroshima (Hanover Garden)

  (2011.5.2)
A weeping willow is a tree that grows along the water.
Now, this tree lives by an artificial pond and a sculpture, but I think that in the old days,
it might have been swaying leaves along the water side along with the other weeping willows.

(2017.5.3)

This tree is in the corner of the Hanover garden,
surrounded by azalea flowers except where it faces the artificial pond,
and it would be very gorgeous if it was blooming more.

(2019.5.2)
I always visit the same time, so next time I visit,
I want to see the fresh green leaves and flowers of the weeping willow.

  (2021.4.8)

This time I took an infrared shot.
It is difficult to see in a cloudy sky because the leaves appear white in infrared photography,
but in reality, many green leaves are attached.

(2022.4.2)
The best season for flowers is over, and now it's time for the leaves to grow thicker.
It seems that a little early time is good to see the flowers of this tree.

(2023.3.25)
It is the season of weeping willow flowers.
Many flowers have fallen, but there are still flowers that are blooming beautifully.
The fresh green is starting to appear, and it will change to a refreshing color from now on.

 <How to visit>

Cross the pedestrian crossing on the north side of the Atomic Bomb Dome and continue north. Turn to the left at the corner of the building and as you walk along the steam locomotive to the left, you can see that there is an artificial pond in one corner of the park on the right. A willow is there.
