A-bombed Tree

Cherry blossoms / Tabunoki
(Ikari shrine)
Hakushima Kuken-cho,, Naka-ku, Hiroshima (Ikari shrine)

  (2010.4.3)
There is an Ikari Shrine so as to hide in the valley of the building,
where two trees that have been bombed live.
It has weak vitality, many broken branches, and dark trunks, but it has flowers.
I want you to work hard as an A-bomb tree and continue to live, but I can't seem to live long.

(2012.4.7)

The last time I visited, I had a strong impression that it was a weak cherry tree,
so I didn't think I would take a picture of it,
but when I visited again, the impression changed.
I felt that this tree was amazing
because it survived even after the hardship of being exposed to the bomb
and it bloomed so much.

  (2018.4.1)

It was the first time in 6 years to visit when I was a flower.
The cherry blossoms in the city are in full bloom,
and this cherry blossom is in full bloom.
Young leaves are beginning to appear, but the flowers are in full bloom,
and the flower color shines in the blue sky.

Tabunoki becomes a huge tree, but the branches of this tree are weak.
I think that the tree is about 100 years old, but its development is not good.

  (2019.12.8)

This is the first time I visited here in early winter,
but at this time the autumn leaves have ended and the leaves are a little left.

The tabnoki tree is an evergreen tree, so the change in seasons is not so great,
but when I looked up, the combination of the surrounding autumn leaves
and the blue sky showed a nice expression.

(2023.4.2)
It's past its peak blooming season,
but it had lots of flowers and new leaves were starting to appear.
The trunk is protected by a rope.
It seems to be recovering with more branches than before.

There was an uproot growing out of the stump.
In the future, it will probably change into a tree with a clump.
New leaves and flowers are starting to appear.

 <How to visit>
