A-bombed Tree

Cherry blossoms
(Sanyo buntokuden)
7-1 Hijiyamacho, Minami-ku, Hiroshima (Sanyo buntokuden)

  (2023.3.25)
When I first visited more than 10 years ago,
the trees were weak and I was worried that they might die,
but thanks to the treatment, they are regaining their vigor.
This year I feel that I have put on the most flowers so far.

(2023.5.28)
Two months after I photographed the flowers, I visited again.
She had a lot of leaves and showed me a healthy figure.

(2023.10.29)
I visited during the autumn leaves season.
The leaves are still green, but they are gradually turning red.
The new trunk seems to be growing well.

(2023.11.29)
The newly grown trunk is growing steadily.
There are also many buds, so it will probably produce many flowers next spring.

(2024.2.18)
It will take a little over a month for the cherry blossoms to bloom,
but at this time the surrounding red plum blossoms, white plum blossoms, and yellow wax plum blossoms were beginning to bloom.
I'm sure this cherry tree will follow suit and bloom with beautiful flowers in the spring.

(2024.3.10)
The flowers haven't bloomed yet,
but the buds are swelling and will probably bloom in about another two weeks.

(2024.3.31)
The cherry blossoms were not in full bloom yet,
but there was a wide variety of flowers to observe,
from red swollen buds to flowers that had opened,
to flowers blooming in clusters.
If there had been a little more light, the images would have been different,
but the moist atmosphere of a cloudy sky like this is also beautiful.

(2024.8.3)
It's midsummer, and the tree is surrounded by many weeds.
Some of the leaves have been damaged by the heat, but many of the leaves remain healthy.
